Environmental Issues, Humanitarian Issues, and Global Community Issues; can spirituality help us solve the challenges facing humanity and the planet?
A quote from Jean Vanier and her book “Community and Growth” sets an important tone for our global venture together.
“One of the signs of life in a community is the creation of links with others. An inward-looking community will die of suffocation. Living communities are linked to others, making up a huge reservoir of love for the world. And as only Spirit inspires and gives life, communities being born or reborn will be alike without ever even knowing each other…. It is a sign of maturity for a community to bind itself in friendship with others; it knows its own destiny, so doesn’t need to make comparisons. It loves even the differences which distinguish it, because each community has its own gifts which must flourish. These communities are complimentary; they need each other.” ~ Jean Vanier ~
Spirituality is a unifying force that shapes and gives meaning. It is not tied to any one religion and is integral to all humanity at some level. When decisions are made from the level of soul consciousness, humanity will begin making more ethical and principled decisions for self, humanity, and the planet.
The focus of the Public Services Branch is to encourage the transformation of consciousness in all areas of public life. Our aim is to inform the public of issues that impact humanity and the planet. This Branch, among other activities, designs and participates in local, national, and global service projects, developed by members and interested participants, that assist in creating a better world for ourselves and future generations.
Members and individuals contribute their combined wisdom to support and advance the importance of inclusiveness, cooperation, and higher consciousness in all areas of life.
